In recent years, there has been an increase in popularity of restomods. Not just older cars that are patched to hopefully run for the rest of the season, but classic cars that deliver the old school feel with all of the benefits of modern ‘turn key’ technology and reliability.

We have always loved old school Broncos and after spending weeks hunting for one we liked, we found and imported one out of Wisconsin. The body and interior landed in amazing condition and the truck had been repainted but remained in it’s original Calypso Coral orange colour. After landing the vehicle, it went immediately to have $18,000 of both mechanical and aesthetic modifications which was completed locally. After a couple of months the truck was shipped to Illinois to have a full work order completed by Gateway Bronco. It was here that the 5.0L Coyote motor was installed, the steering column was replaced, and the complete electrical wiring harness was replaced by an all-new Coyote Edition harness. The truck is now incredibly reliable but still appears to be a rugged bronco.

Our vision was to keep the truck looking rugged, we did not install power running boards…or leather interior…or wood trim. The goal was to keep this bronco looking tough from the outside, but it has all of the benefits of modern technology under the hood and body.
