The ultimate driver
When Porsche’s 930 Turbo hit the road, civilians had never experienced a turbo so strong. Because of this, many Turbos were crashed and totalled while passengers were either injured or worse because of the turbos unexpected sudden hit of power. This car was nicknamed “the widow maker” because sadly many people went out in these cars and never came home. Today, the car sits as a classic, and both the cars lines and driving experience are among enthusiasts favourites.
This 930 Turbo is an A1 black on black example that we enjoy every now and then as a driver. The car has only 58,000 miles from new, has only been registered in Canada, and has been serviced multiple times while in our possession since 2017. The cars exterior remains in great condition and the interior is like new. From just opening the door you are hit with a scent of real leather from the 1980s. The cars startup process is ideal. A process that can’t be rushed but is nice before starting off on your drive. The ignition on the left hand side is turned over and the engine burbles before slowly increasing to a point where it can hold its own idol, as if it’s waking up slowly from a sleep. Once rolling, the car is extremely exciting to drive. The long gears have tons of character. With not much power down low, the revs rise and build momentum while you patiently wait for the turbo…then, like a strong undertow, the turbo comes on pulling you back into your seat before grabbing the next gear. Just ensure that you're driving in a straight line before playing with this cars power.
This car is timeless from every aspect; looks, performance, feel etc. And that makes it one of our favourites among all cars.
