Over their 50 years of automotive development, Lamborghini has only made 5 flagship V12 models, the Miura, Countach, Diablo, Murcielago and the Aventador. The Aventador was announced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012 and to celebrate the companies 50th year of business they developed the Aventador roadster. 

 

The spec for the launch edition roadster is an homage to the single Miura Roadster concept that was built in 1968. Lamborghini decided to paint this Launch Edition Aventador Roadster in Azzurro Tethis which is a silver blue metallic paint which references the blue metallic Miura roadster concept.

 

This particular launch edition roadster is a Canadian car that we have owned from new. The car has been serviced multiple times and all of the Aventador recalls have been addressed. The car currently sits with only 2,570km in immaculate condition.

 

The drive of this car is themed around power. The naturally aspirated mid-engine V12 screams and with an open top experience the sound and feel is amplified. Rather than stomping on the throttle, it’s more of an experience to roll onto it and feel the deep power of the V12 push you down the road. While on throttle, whether aggressive or lightly, it seems as if you lose your thoughts in the engine note and you just feel the passion from the Italian automaker.
