In 1965, Ford partnered with Caroll Shelby to transform the mustang into a car that would compete against the worlds other sports cars on both the road and track. The car needed to be powerful and balanced in order to have the best results on track. The product they developed was the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 which sits today, in the minds of many, as the pinnacle of all mustangs. Only 562 of these GT350’s were built and 37 of these cars were race-ready ‘R’ models. 

 

50 years later in 2015, Ford introduced a new GT350R to pay homage to the original car developed in 1965. This car was developed with the same formula in mind; to match the mustangs power with control. A track weapon was born with an all new flat plane crank V8 which revs to 8,250 rpm, carbon fibre wheels, rear seat delete, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s, and Brembo brakes. Like they did in 1965, Ford once again developed an all new car that pushed the boundaries of what an American sports car was capable of on road and track.

 

This 2017 GT350R still remains in its delivery condition, it has never been unwrapped, and it has never been on the road. The car is equipped with two main options; the electronics package, and over the top stripes. The car has remained with us for its entire life and has only moved enclosed for services to keep the fluids up to date.
